Overview
The CHM6-C6 packages Infinera’s ICE6 optical engine — the company’s sixth-generation Infinite Capacity Engine — into a half-width sled for the Groove GX Series. It combines a 7 nm CMOS DSP with an indium-phosphide photonic integrated circuit to push a single wavelength up to 800 Gbps, while a shared wavelocker and probabilistic constellation shaping squeeze more capacity out of every hertz of C-band spectrum operators already own.
800G per wavelength
Two independently programmable wavelengths per optical engine, each tunable up to 800 Gbps, or stepped down to 600G/400G for extended reach.
1.6T client capacity
Flexible mix of 100 GbE, 400 GbE, and OTU4 client ports, letting operators grow into capacity as demand arrives.
7nm DSP + InP PIC
In-house FlexCoherent DSP and photonic integration lower cost and power per transported bit versus prior generations.
PCS + 64QAM modulation
Probabilistic constellation shaping and high-order modulation extend reach while lifting spectral efficiency toward 8.8 bits/s/Hz.
